PROFILE OF A BABBLING FOOL

This page will give you a small insight into the Mind of Michael. My name is Michael, & I currently live in the moderately city (approx 60,000 people) of Coffs Harbour, on the mid north coast of NSW, which is on the east coast of Australia. I am one of the most cynical people I know, with an often warped sense of humour, laughing at my own jokes even if no one else does. I work two jobs in the computer fields - web design assistant & computer guy making house calls doing whatever needs doing (computer related, not people related). I have a Diploma in Web Management & Design but feel its pretty worthless given how ordinary I am (& the skills I have lost), as well as a Diploma in Retail Management - a very eye opening course. love clubbing, drawing, writing, reading, fire twirling, guitar, music, information technology, the beach, & outdoorsy sports like canoeing, mountain biking, skirmish, hiking, camping & stuff - coz stuff rocks!

Apparently art "runs in the family" - my brother can draw, I can draw (I dont really anymore) & sometimes write, my mother is an accomplished watercolour artist (among other things), our great aunt Thea Proctor (google her) has art in the Sydney Gallery, H.G. Wells (writer) is also a relation of mine (cousin to H.J. Wells my great grandfather - or something).

I have a warped sense of humour & my mind comes up with the weirdest things out of the blue, like Pink Elephants & radioactive cheese. I have since found out that pink elephants DO exist (in Africa of all places), along with pink river dolphins, flying snakes, frogs that live in the desert, tadpoles that live in trees & a breed of penguin whose courting ritual involves rolling rocks at their prospective mate. Dont ask me about the duck...

I go for walks just because it is raining.

I am a light sleeper & can be woken by being looked at or someone's presense in my room. It is also hard to sneak up on me without my sensing your presense. Or your stink. Ew.

I love eBay. I cant help myself ;)

I like philosophy. I don't read it, but I use it's wisdom. I live my life by my own honesty, wisdom, philosophy, & not by any written law, though I obey them most of the time. 

To me age is not an issue, nor is colour, religion, appearance or any other superficial things with which people like to judge who they will be friends with. I am open & friendly with eclectic tastes in just about everything.

I tend to take a holistic approach I take to a person. It is YOU, the person I am more interested in, the you that animates & gives life to your body. I like people to be open, friendly, humourous, light hearted yet able to have a deep & meaningful conversation as well. Looks arent important, your personality is. :-)

What I'm Doing With My Life
I have been trying to build a life which is hard work. See, I never bothered to get one before now, I had heard people talking about then but I thought it was just another fad. Seen them come & go. My, how wrong was I....

Aside from work which takes up a reasonable chunk of my time, I have been trying to improve my life in almost every way, including health, exercise, & socially. I am over the clubbing doof doof scene full of young clones & prefer a more pleasant setting such as a nice beer garden, dinner, movies, or a live performance. I travel down the coast alot, both to visit my daughter & to see friends & family. So that often leaves me in Newcastle or Sydney.

I'm Really/Moderately Good At
Fire twirling, talking, making a fool of myself, helping people, driving, video games ;), coming up with totally useless info, being a good daddy (part time), over analysing, predicting/reading people's behaviour, drawing, IT

The First Thing(s) People Usually Notice About Me
Maybe that im skinny & gawky & geeky? Um... hmm.. I dunno... my light blue eyes draw alot of attention (when im not wearing my sun glasses).

I Spend a Lot of Time Thinking About
The past & what once was, the future & what might never be, the future & what could be if I get up & grasp opportunities when they arise, the hairballs I find in my bed, stuff (& things).

On a Typical Friday Night I Am
At home :P While I do go out I am not so much into the club scene anymore; same old same old. But I do enjoy movies, DVDs, having some friends over, going out for dinner, having BBQs, attending parties, just hanging & being spontaneous. Oh, & live entertainment, be it a band, good DJ or solo performist.

The Most Private Thing I'm Willing to Admit Here Is
I have long toes. I trip over them sometimes... I sprained one once

I have a manbag - . I have all kinds of knick knacks in it, such as - toothbrush, toothpaste, chewing gum, guarana, bits of a folder, rubish, paper, pens, water bottle, moisturiser, deodorant, squashed muesli bars, polly pocket clothing, a magazine, & other misc stuff depending on what im doing.

I love stationary ;)

The Kind Of People I Enjoy Meeting
People who have something in common with me, or something about me intrigues you.

I really prefer people who can (& chooses) use proper English & grammer - I hate to see people mangle the English language on purpose & nothing indicates your intellect more than using pigeon english - u, wot, r, y instead of the actual word. i meen wot iz wif all dat shyte? lolz. werd. Non English speakers accepted of course (& learning/reading disabilities).

I like people with intelligence, someone always curious about anything & everything & is always seeking to learn & understand. Honesty & trust I hold with the utmost regard.
